This blog will be dedicated to providing information, opinions, and recent news about the Chicago Blackhawks to all sport fans throughout the world. On this blog any Hawk, non-Hawk, or even non-hockey fan will be able to look into what it is like to be a fan of the greatest team in the National Hockey League (NHL). Throughout the course of this blog we will follow the Chicago Blackhawks current season, player news, and both glorious and not so glorious parts of history.

Located in the city of Chicago, Illinois, the Blackhawks or Hawks, have arguably one of the strongest and biggest fan bases to span the United States. No matter what city the Hawks play in, there will always be masses of red jerseys with the symbolic Indian head. According to Ryan Kennedy, author of The Hockey News, “We chose the Chicago Blackhawks logo as the best in the NHL because it represents everything this competition is about. It is instantly recognizable, has universal appeal and has inspired countless imitations. The logo itself has an unwavering sense of pride and duty to it and looks great on a jersey or a hat. It is truly one of the classics in all of sport."

Although one might ask when the Blackhawks became such an icon for the National Hockey League, truth is they always were. There has always been something about the Chicago Blackhawks that just shouts out pride, tradition, and history. As we will take a look back into the history of the Chicago Blackhawks, our readers will understand that the Hawks are more than just a hockey team, but a way of life.

While Chicago sports have been more than slightly disappointing in recent years, the Blackhawks have proven to be victorious. With the addition of young superstars Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane, the Blackhawks have transformed into a franchise. The Hawks have become Chicago's "team", and brought out fans in places you would never have thought existed.
